Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Paralegal to join our legal team. This vital role offers an exciting opportunity to support a diverse range of legal practices, specializing in criminal law, family law, litigation and more. The ideal candidate will be passionate about legal research, document management, and providing exceptional administrative support to attorneys and clients alike. Duties Conduct comprehensive legal research using Westlaw, LexisNexis, and other legal research tools to support case preparation and strategy. Assist in drafting legal documents, including pleadings, contracts, discovery requests, and correspondence with precision and clarity. Manage case files efficiently using document management systems such as Clio while ensuring confidentiality and organization. Support attorneys with criminal litigation support tasks like filing documents with courts, tracking deadlines, and preparing trial materials. Conduct client interviews and gather pertinent information for estate planning, personal injury cases, or other legal matters while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality. Review documents for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to procedural law requirements across various practice areas including tribal law, patent law, workers' compensation law, and landlord-tenant law. Provide executive administrative support by scheduling meetings, managing communications via phone etiquette, organizing case-related documentation, and supporting project management initiatives. Skills Proven experience as a paralegal with a strong background in legal support across multiple practice areas such as estate planning, environmental law, litigation, family law, securities law, patent law, and tribal regulations. Excellent research skills utilizing Westlaw, LexisNexis, and other legal databases to gather relevant case law and statutory information. Proficiency in legal writing and drafting of documents with attention to detail; ability to proofread meticulously. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines. Familiarity with document review processes and civil litigation procedures; experience supporting trial preparation is a plus. Competence in using legal case management software like iManage or PCLaw; adept at Word processing in Microsoft Office Suite including Word and Excel. Effective client communication skills coupled with professional phone etiquette for interviewing clients or interacting with stakeholders. Knowledge of procedural law across various jurisdictions; ability to handle confidential information discreetly at all times. Ability to perform legal research efficiently using Westlaw or LexisNexis; excellent proofreading skills for legal documents. Pay:
$38,400.00 - $48,000.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 24.0 per week
