Uses software for electronic discovery of materials such as email for a trial. May specialize in a particular area of the law such as corporate or criminal law, family law or real estate law.

Job Description

Seeking a motivated, organized, and detail-oriented Legal Assistant in Northville, MI. No prior legal experience is required we will train the right candidate! If you have experience in document processing, administrative support, mortgage processing, title, banking, insurance, or other paperwork-intensive roles, we'd love to hear from you. This is a great opportunity to start a career in the legal field while working alongside an experienced attorney in a collaborative and professional environment.
Responsibilities:
Gather, organize, and maintain client documents and case files. Assist clients with obtaining and submitting required documentation. Prepare, review, and process legal documents. Track case progress and maintain organized records. Communicate with clients regarding case updates, missing documentation, and next steps. Schedule appointments and coordinate attorney Maintain strict confidentiality of client information. Support attorneys with daily administrative and case management responsibilities.
Qualifications:
No legal experience required we'll train the right person! Processing, administrative, banking, mortgage, title, insurance, or customer service experience is a plus. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication skills. Microsoft Office proficiency (Word, Excel, Outlook). Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and grow.
