Job Summary Fausone & Grysko, PLC is a well-established law firm in Northville, Michigan, seeking a highly experienced, organized, and detail-oriented Paralegal / Legal Assistant to join our team. This full-time, in-person position provides direct support to our attorneys in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is proactive, professional, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision while delivering exceptional client service and maintaining the highest level of accuracy and organization. We are seeking a candidate with a strong legal background who can step into the role and contribute immediately without the need for training. Responsibilities Provide comprehensive legal and administrative support to attorneys throughout all phases of client matters. Manage client intake, file setup, and ongoing case management independently. Draft, proofread, revise, and format legal documents, correspondence, pleadings, and discovery with minimal oversight. Prepare, organize, and electronically file documents in Michigan state and federal courts. Create and assemble exhibits, hearing notebooks, trial binders, and other case materials. Maintain electronic and physical case files, ensuring documents are organized, accurate, and up to date. Coordinate calendars, deadlines, court dates, meetings, and appointments, ensuring all deadlines are met. Communicate professionally and effectively with clients, courts, opposing counsel, and third parties. Conduct factual and legal research as needed. Manage document production, scanning, copying, and other administrative tasks efficiently. Track deadlines and proactively ensure timely completion of attorney assignments. Record billable and non-billable time accurately and contemporaneously. Provide receptionist coverage and assist with front office responsibilities as needed. Maintain strict confidentiality while handling sensitive client information. Qualifications Minimum of 2-5 years of experience as a Paralegal or Legal Assistant required. Demonstrated experience supporting litigation matters is required. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Word, including advanced document formatting. Experience electronically filing documents through MiFILE and PACER required. Familiarity with legal research platforms such as Westlaw and Lexis-Nexis. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments independently. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy. Takes initiative, anticipates attorney needs, and follows through with minimal supervision. Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Pay:
$28.85 - $33.65 per hour
