•$68,000 About the Opportunity A growing law firm is seeking an experienced Litigation Legal Assistant to support attorneys and paralegals in a busy litigation practice. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented legal professional with strong experience in litigation support, court filings, case management, and document preparation. The successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and possess exceptional organizational and communication skills. Key Responsibilities Prepare, edit, and manage legal correspondence, pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery materials, and other litigation documents. Maintain and organize client and matter files in accordance with firm policies and best practices. Assist with case management by monitoring deadlines, tracking case activity, and coordinating litigation-related tasks. Format, proofread, and electronically file documents in state and federal courts. Manage attorney calendars, including scheduling hearings, depositions, meetings, travel, and other litigation-related events. Track court deadlines, filing requirements, discovery responses, and litigation milestones. Process attorney expense reports and provide general administrative support. Maintain confidentiality of all client and case information. Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to ensure matters are handled efficiently and accurately. Qualifications Minimum of 5 years of litigation legal assistant or legal support experience. Strong knowledge of litigation procedures, discovery processes, and legal terminology. Experience with state and federal court filings, including e-filing systems. Ability to prepare tables of contents, tables of authorities, and other complex legal documents. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including proofreading and editing. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities. Ability to work independently while maintaining a high level of accuracy and productivity. Professional demeanor when interacting with attorneys, clients, court personnel, and opposing counsel. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat; experience with legal software platforms is a plus. Appellate court filing experience is preferred.
