Compensation:
$25 - $35 hourly
Responsibilities:
Assist lawyers in preparing legal documentation, pleadings, and correspondence including correspondence such as interrogatories, subpoenas, deposition notices, complaints, pretrial orders, legal briefs, and affidavits
Estate Planning & Drafting Document Drafting:
Prepare initial drafts of core estate planning documents under attorney supervision, including revocable/irrevocable trusts, last wills and testaments, financial powers of attorney, healthcare directives, and property deeds.
Asset & Financial Information Gathering:
Conduct client intake to collect, organize, and analyze detailed asset information (real estate titles, bank accounts, business entities, retirement plans, life insurance).
Trust Funding & Real Estate Transfers:
Drafting conveyancing deeds, filing property transfers with county recorders, and preparing account retitling paperwork.
Draft and file petitions for probate (formal and informal), notices to creditors, inventories, appraisements, and petitions for final distribution.
Asset Marshalling & Valuation:
Assist personal representatives in identifying, securing, and valuing estate assets; secure date-of-death valuations and coordinate with appraisers.
Creditor & Beneficiary Management:
Track estate claims, correspond with creditors, prepare notice mailings, and maintain clear communication with beneficiaries regarding court timelines.
Client Care & Administrative Operations Signing Ceremonies:
Organize, witness, and notarize the formal execution of wills, trusts, and related estate documents in compliance with state execution formalities.
Docket & Deadline Tracking:
Manage the probate calendar, ensuring court hearings, creditor claim periods, and deadlines are strictly tracked.
File Management:
Maintain clean digital and physical client files, organizing asset documents, signed originals, and court records.
Small Business Formation & Filings Entity Formation Filings:
Prepare and file state business organization documents with the Secretary of State (Articles of Organization for LLCs, Articles of Incorporation for Corporations, Assumed Names/DBAs).
Qualifications:
Strong preference for candidates who have completed a paralegal professional certification or have an advanced paralegal education Must have strong interpersonal skills and talent for writing and grammar 3 years of experience in legal services under an attorney or lawyer in a law firm setting Must have great time-management skills, and organizational skills About Company rb
