Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys in preparing legal documents such as contracts, briefs, and pleadings
- Organize and maintain client files and case documents
- Conduct legal research and gather relevant information for cases
- Prepare and proofread legal correspondence and documents
- Coordinate and schedule meetings, court appearances, and depositions
- Answer phone calls and handle inquiries with professionalism and courtesy
- Transcribe dictations and prepare accurate summaries
- Manage document management systems to ensure efficient retrieval of information
- Perform general administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and record keeping
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a paralegal or legal assistant
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in using computer software for word processing, spreadsheets, and presentations
- Familiarity with legal research tools and databases
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Knowledge of legal terminology and procedures
