full-time A highly prestigious Am Law firm with a strong national reputation and sophisticated client base is seeking a talented Legal Practice Assistant to join its Jackson, Mississippi office. This is an exciting opportunity to support the firm's Wills & Estates, Corporate, and M&A practices while working alongside accomplished attorneys on sophisticated matters.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide high-level administrative and legal support, including calendar management, scheduling, travel, filing, and document management. Coordinate multiple matters, deadlines, workflows, data rooms, and document repositories. Support corporate transactions and M&A, including due diligence, document collection, redlining, version control, and closing support. Draft and proofread correspondence, agreements, memos, templates, and other legal documents. Serve as a key liaison between attorneys, clients, outside counsel, and internal teams. Assist with billing, timekeeping, regulatory filings, conflicts, research, and special projects.
Qualifications:
5+ years of law firm legal support, legal secretary, paralegal, legal operations, or related experience. Experience supporting Wills & Estates and/or Corporate strongly preferred. Excellent organizational, communication, proofreading, and multitasking skills. Strong attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Experience with legal technology, document management systems, virtual data rooms, and billing/timekeeping platforms is a plus.
