Senior Litigation Paralegal:
- Support all phases of trial preparation, including drafting jury instructions, preparing trial exhibits, coordinating witness materials, and organizing comprehensive trial binders for courtroom proceedings.
- Draft, review, and file subpoenas, pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and other legal documents, ensuring compliance with court deadlines and filing procedures.
- Manage complex discovery processes, including drafting and responding to discovery requests, summarizing records, coordinating document production, and scheduling depositions, mediations, and expert interviews.
- Conduct detailed review and analysis of medical, employment, and other case-related records to assist attorneys with case evaluation, litigation strategy, and damages assessment.
- Oversee litigated case files from inception through trial, maintaining accurate case organization, tracking critical deadlines, and coordinating communication with clients, opposing counsel, courts, and vendors.
- Draft professional correspondence and provide high-level litigation support to attorneys in developing case strategy, preparing for hearings, depositions, mediations, and trial.
Senior Litigation Paralegal:
- 5-7+ years of hands-on experience as a Litigation Paralegal, with a strong background supporting complex litigation matters through trial preparation.
- Proven North Carolina litigation experience, including a thorough understanding of court procedures, deadlines, filings, and discovery practices.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Gmail, with the ability to quickly learn case management and legal technology platforms.
- Paralegal certificate or formal legal training preferred.
- Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities, with the capacity to manage a high-volume caseload in a fast-paced litigation environment.
- Strong critical thinking and prioritization skills, with the ability to anticipate needs, manage competing deadlines, and work efficiently under pressure.
- Professional and client-focused demeanor with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships with clients, attorneys, court personnel, and colleagues.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a collaborative, team-oriented approach and a commitment to delivering high-quality work product.
- Reliable, proactive, detail-oriented professional with excellent follow-through and a strong sense of accountability.
- Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills are highly valued and considered a strong asset.
