Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Legal Assistant/Paralegal to join our dynamic legal team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to support a wide range of legal functions across various practice areas, including estate planning, family law, civil litigation, criminal law and personal injury. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, excellent research capabilities, and a passion for delivering exceptional legal support. You will be instrumental in managing case files, preparing legal documents, conducting research, and assisting attorneys to ensure smooth case progression. Responsibilities Prepare, review, and draft legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, and correspondence with precision and attention to detail. Conduct comprehensive legal research using Westlaw, LexisNexis, and other resources to support case strategies across diverse practice areas including securities law, tribal law, patent law, and workers' compensation law. Manage case files using document management systems; ensure all records are accurate, organized, and up-to-date. Assist with client communication by scheduling interviews, gathering information through interviewing techniques, and maintaining confidentiality at all times. Support attorneys with procedural law knowledge by filing documents electronically in accordance with court rules; handle data entry and document review efficiently. Conduct legal research on relevant statutes, regulations, and case law to assist in litigation preparation for civil litigation support and general & commercial litigation cases. Provide executive administrative support including calendar management, appointment scheduling, and handling confidential information professionally. Support project management tasks related to case deadlines and client deliverables to ensure timely completion of all legal activities. Qualifications Proven paralegal experience or legal administrative experience supporting multiple practice areas such as estate planning, family law, civil litigation and personal injury. Strong knowledge of procedural law processes including filing procedures and document review protocols. Proficiency in legal research tools such as Westlaw and LexisNexis; familiarity with document management systems is highly desirable. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while maintaining accuracy. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; ability to draft clear legal documents and communicate effectively with clients and team members. Experience handling confidential information with integrity and professionalism. Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) for document processing and data entry tasks. Experience in personal injury law and family law is a plus but not mandatory. Law office experience and litigation support. Pay:
$25.00 - $35.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
