Job Description

Front Desk Reception/Legal Assistant Burgos Law PLLC High Point, NC Job Details Part-time | Full-time $32,000 - $40,000 a year 7 hours ago Benefits Health savings account Paid time off Qualifications Assistance experience within legal industry Foreign language proficiency Immigration law Law office experience Multi-line phone systems Full Job Description Immigration law does not run on nine-to-five problems, and it does not run on clients who already know how the system works. Most of the people who walk through our door are anxious, confused, and hoping the person behind the front desk is the first sign that they have come to the right place. That person is you. Burgos Law is looking for a bilingual (Spanish/English) receptionist who can hold that first moment steady, every single time, for a high-volume immigration practice in High Point. What you'll actually be doing Greeting clients in person and by phone, in Spanish or English depending on who's in front of you Managing a busy multi-line phone system and directing calls to the right attorney or case team Scheduling and confirming consultations and case appointments Keeping the waiting area and check-in process organized, even when the lobby fills up Handling routine client questions and paperwork with accuracy, since a missed detail in immigration work is rarely a small one Supporting attorneys and case managers with day-to-day administrative tasks What you bring Fluency in both Spanish and English, spoken and written (required) Prior customer service experience (required): retail, hospitality, medical office, or call center work all counts Comfort with basic office software and multi-line phones A calm, organized approach to a job that gets interrupted a lot Legal or law firm experience, particularly immigration, is a plus but not required: we will train the right person on the substance Why Burgos Law We built this firm on the idea that immigration clients deserve the same clarity and respect as anyone else's clients, and that starts at the front desk. We invest in ongoing training for our whole team, not just the attorneys, because the law does not sit still and neither should we. If you want a role where being helpful to someone on a hard day counts as doing your job well, this is that role. Pay is based on experience
