In this role, you will serve as a trusted administrative support to attorneys and a professional point of contact for clients in our Fargo office. What You'll Do Provide administrative support to attorneys in one or more practice areas by managing calendars, scheduling appointments, coordinating meetings, and tracking deadlines Prepare, proofread, revise, format, and file legal documents, including pleadings, briefs, motions, correspondence, and other case-related materials Communicate professionally with clients, court personnel, opposing counsel, vendors, and other parties to support timely and accurate information exchange Use eFiling sites to file court documents across multiple state, federal, and local offices; monitor filing deadlines, track associated fees, and maintain portal accounts to ensure accurate, timely submissions. Use eRecording platform to record documents with various County Recorder offices. Organize, maintain, and update electronic and physical files in accordance with firm procedures and confidentiality standards Assist with attorney billing, invoicing, time entry, expense processing, and related administrative tasks Conduct basic legal research, gather case information, and help prepare materials as requested Complete general administrative assignments and special projects to support attorneys, staff, clients, and Fargo office operations Schedule and Work Location This is a full-time, onsite position in our Fargo office. Office hours are generally Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Consistent, reliable attendance is required. Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Administrative, office support, customer service, or related professional experience Proficiency with Microsoft Office (365), including Word, Excel, Outlook Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally and confidentially with clients, attorneys, staff, and external contacts Strong organization, prioritization, and time-management skills High attention to detail, accuracy, confidentiality, and follow-through Preferred Qualifications Associate or bachelor's degree One or more years of experience as a legal administrative assistant, legal assistant, legal secretary, or office assistant role in a law firm or professional service setting Knowledge of legal terminology, legal procedures, court filing processes, or litigation support workflows Experience with legal research tools, document management systems, billing software, or electronic filing systems Physical Requirements This role requires prolonged sitting, use of a computer, occasional lifting (up to 25 lbs.), and the ability to communicate clearly in person and over the phone.
