Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join our busy law office. This role offers an exciting opportunity to support legal professionals across a wide range of practice areas, including estate planning, small business law, real estate law, landlord/tenant law, and general civil litigation. The ideal candidate will be proactive, organized, and possess a strong foundation in legal administrative tasks. You will play a vital role in managing case files, maintaining accurate records, and providing exceptional administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of our legal practice. This paid position is perfect for someone eager to grow their legal career while contributing to a collaborative team environment. Duties Assist attorney with legal research, document review, drafting legal documents, and proofreading to ensure accuracy and compliance with legal standards Conduct thorough legal research across multiple practice areas; Support litigation processes by preparing pleadings, discovery documents, and trial materials while maintaining strict confidentiality Coordinate client interviews and communicate effectively via phone etiquette; schedule appointments and follow up on case developments Preferences Experience as a paralegal or legal assistant with strong knowledge of legal case management and administrative procedures Demonstrated bookkeeping skills using Quickbooks or comparable accounting software; ability to manage financial records accurately Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment; strong attention to detail in proofreading and document review Effective communication skills for interviewing clients; professional phone etiquette required Strong research skills combined with the ability to draft clear legal documents and contracts with precision Clerical experience including filing, data entry, transcription, and administrative support is preferred Join us to be part of a vibrant team dedicated to delivering exceptional legal services.
