A Paralegal or Legal Assistant assists attorneys and law offices with a variety of tasks ranging from administrative support to legal research and writing. Maintains and organizes files or file databases. Conducts legal or other background research, assists with preparation for trials or hearings, and drafts documents to be filed. Uses software for electronic discovery of materials such as email for a trial. May specialize in a particular area of the law such as corporate or criminal law, family law or real estate law.

Job Description
Must have 2 to 3 YEARS prior law firm experience in order to apply to this role. Litigation Attorney seeks outgoing, hard-working, self-starter with experience in the legal field. Must be reliable, hard working, organized, detail oriented and demonstrate an understanding and command of the required skills and competencies. Must be a team player and able to take direction from others within the office.

Responsibilities would include:
Answering Phones and sorting incoming and outgoing mail Requesting, organizing and reviewing medical records and bills in order to draft Demand packages to insurance companies. Drafting and proofreading correspondence, contracts and other documents Assisting Paralegal in various litigation matters Successful candidates have: Attention to detail; Strong oral and written communication skills; Ability to multitask and take ownership of files; Team oriented; Responsible individual who is able to work both independently and in a team environment; Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel and Outlook; Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Experience with basic office hardware such as scanners, fax machine, copiers, etc.; Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment; Superior problem solving skills; Demonstrate a strong work ethic and dependability. All candidates must be a team player and possess a positive outlook and attitude towards all clients. Candidates need to be reliable and have excellent verbal and written communication skills, organization and time management skills, and a professional appearance and demeanor.
