IG client is looking for a skilled and personable Legal Assistant to support the Business Law practice in our Dover, NH office. The ideal candidate is a professional with 2-5 years of experience, a desire to further their career in the legal field. For this position, every day is different, but the goal is: helping our clients to build businesses or find professional success in careful and informed ways. Some days, you'll be talking to the clients directly, and others, you might be poring over documents in meticulous detail or supporting complex case files. No matter what the day brings, you'll be working closely with attorneys. D2D:
- Opening and closing client files
- Coordinate conflict checks, prepare engagement letters, setting up and organizing client files in paper form and electronic format
- Assist attorneys in preparing and organizing legal documents, correspondence, and pleadings
- Maintain accurate and updated case files electronically and paper, including filing and indexing
- Communicate directly with clients, witnesses, and other legal professionals
- Manage calendars, deadlines, and case timelines
