Job Summary Environmental Services Floor Technician Wentworth-Douglass Hospital- Dover, NH Schedule Full-Time | Split Shift Sunday
- Thursday | 12:00 PM
- 8:30 PM Summary Join Wentworth-Douglass Hospital and help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
- Sweep, mop, wax, strip, and polish floors throughout the hospital
- Operate high
- and low-speed stripping and buffing machines
- Vacuum and shampoo carpets in assigned areas
- Dust and polish furniture, fixtures, equipment, and woodwork
- Clean walls, ceilings, windows, blinds, door glass, and related surfaces
- Clean and sanitize restroom facilities and replenish supplies
- Empty, clean, and sanitize waste receptacles
- Set up tables, chairs, and equipment for hospital events and daily operations
- Pick up debris around hospital buildings and grounds
- Identify and report building maintenance or safety concerns
- Maintain hospital cleanliness, infection prevention, and safety standards
- Provide professional and courteous customer service to patients, visitors, and staff Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- 2-3 years of experience working with cleaning equipment and chemicals used in hospitals or healthcare settings required
- Previous floor care, environmental services, housekeeping, or custodial experience preferred
- Ability to operate floor care equipment or willingness to learn
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Good communication and comprehension skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Ability to lift, push, and pull equipment and supplies as needed
