What they do
A Paralegal or Legal Assistant assists attorneys and law offices with a variety of tasks ranging from administrative support to legal research and writing. Maintains and organizes files or file databases. Conducts legal or other background research, assists with preparation for trials or hearings, and drafts documents to be filed. Uses software for electronic discovery of materials such as email for a trial. May specialize in a particular area of the law such as corporate or criminal law, family law or real estate law.

Job Description
- Assisting with the more straightforward tasks on a wide variety of finance transactions including running and managing conditions precedent on large transactions
- Assisting with post completion tasks, including security registrations, and general administration
- Coordinating reports to clients, chasing internal teams on cross-departmental projects and sending out reports
- Organising internal team meetings, agendas, keeping minutes of meetings and liaising with either fee-earners
- Carrying out Companies House searches, completion searches and assisting with signing meetings
- Drafting from precedent documents Qualifications
- Law degree (minimum of 2.1) or GDL - essential
- LPC or completion of SQE1 / working towards - desirable Skills and experience required
- Organised with a strong 'can-do' attitude
- Strong client relationship and influencing skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong IT skills
- Determination to complete work to the highest quality with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Drive to pursue a career in the legal industry
