A Paralegal or Legal Assistant assists attorneys and law offices with a variety of tasks ranging from administrative support to legal research and writing. Maintains and organizes files or file databases. Conducts legal or other background research, assists with preparation for trials or hearings, and drafts documents to be filed. Uses software for electronic discovery of materials such as email for a trial. May specialize in a particular area of the law such as corporate or criminal law, family law or real estate law.

Job Description

The Business and Computer Science Department at Middlesex College invites applications for part-time instructors to teach the following subjects: Business Organizations and Government Regulations Criminal Law and Procedure Contracts and Uniform Commercial Code Family Law Legal Research Legal Writing Litigation Procedure Property Transactions Torts Wills and Estate Administration
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
: Juris Doctor degree Experience working with Paralegals in a legal setting Three years of legal business experience College teaching experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience teaching in a remote environment Experience teaching adult learners Familiarity with Learning Management System (Canvas) Experience teaching in higher education
