Location:
Lincroft, NEW JERSEY Position Summary This is a full-time on-site role for a Trust and Estate Paralegal located in Freehold, NJ. The Trust and Estate Paralegal provides specialized support to attorneys in planning, administering, and settling estates, trusts, and wills. They draft legal documents, interact with clients and beneficiaries, manage asset inventories, prepare correspondence and facilitate probate court filings. Job Responsibilities
  • Estate Planning:
    Draft wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and healthcare directives
  • Probate Administration:
    File petitions with the court, identify and notify heirs/beneficiaries, and gather assets.
  • Trust Administration:
    Assist with trust funding, including transferring property, stocks, and bank accounts.
  • Guardianships:
    Draft pleadings, inventories and reports for attorney review. Assist in gathering information from client or third parties at direction of attorney and manage calendar related to same.
  • Inventory:
    Prepare inventories of assets, assist in asset liquidation, and prepare federal/state, estate and inheritance tax returns.
  • Client Communication:
    Act as a liaison between the attorney, clients, financial advisors, and beneficiaries.
  • Documentation:
    Organize, manage, and maintain confidential estate files and calendars. Qualifications
  • Education:
    Bachelor's degree or a paralegal certificate is a plus.
  • Experience:
    Previous experience in a law firm with a focus on trust and estate administration is typically required.
Skills:
Strong knowledge of probate process; high attention to detail; proficiency in Microsoft Office; excellent organizational and communication skills. Accounting background a plus. Additional Information

Salary Range:
$50,000 to $62,000
