Job Description

Legal Administrative Assistant We are seeking a reliable, organized, and professional Legal Administrative Assistant to join our law firm. This position is ideal for someone who is comfortable working in a fast-paced legal environment, handling a high volume of telephone calls, communicating professionally with clients and court personnel, and keeping administrative matters organized and on schedule.
Location:
We are open to candidates interested in working at either our Brick or North Brunswick office location . Key Responsibilities Answer and manage a high volume of incoming telephone calls in a professional and courteous manner. Take accurate messages and resolve/direct calls to the appropriate attorney or staff member. Communicate with clients, courts, attorneys, opposing counsel, and other legal professionals as needed. Assist with court correspondence, including preparing, sending, tracking, and organizing correspondence and other routine court-related documents. Prepare and send letters, emails, notices, and other administrative correspondence. Maintain organized electronic files. Assist with scheduling appointments, meetings, hearings, and other calendar matters. Enter and maintain accurate case and client information. Make follow-up calls and assist with routine case-related communications. Handle scanning, copying, filing, mailing, and other general office duties. Provide administrative support to attorneys and other members of the legal team. Maintain confidentiality and exercise professionalism when handling sensitive client and legal information. Perform other administrative duties as assigned. Qualifications Prior administrative, legal office, law firm, or customer-service experience preferred. Excellent telephone and interpersonal communication skills. Comfortable handling a high volume of phone calls throughout the workday. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to communicate professionally with clients, courts, attorneys, and other parties. Strong written communication skills. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general computer systems. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately. Professional, dependable, and team-oriented attitude. What We're Looking For The successful candidate will be someone who is organized, dependable, personable, and comfortable taking initiative . This role requires someone who can remain calm and professional while managing frequent phone calls, competing priorities, and time-sensitive legal correspondence.
Pay:
$43,000.00 - $49,000.00 per year
