A Paralegal or Legal Assistant assists attorneys and law offices with a variety of tasks ranging from administrative support to legal research and writing. Maintains and organizes files or file databases. Conducts legal or other background research, assists with preparation for trials or hearings, and drafts documents to be filed. Uses software for electronic discovery of materials such as email for a trial. May specialize in a particular area of the law such as corporate or criminal law, family law or real estate law.

Job Description

  • Commercial Real Estate Paralegal- 60k-90k Kendall, New Jersey Hybrid
  • Small boutique law firm seeking a Commercial Real Estate Paralegal to assist partners in fast paced environment.
  • Responsibilities:
  • As a paralegal, you will play a crucial role in assisting attorneys with managing and closing complex commercial real estate and corporate transactions;
  • Prepare and manage deal files and maintain deal checklist;
  • Assist attorneys in preparing entity formation and organizational documents;
  • Create, compose, and edit written materials and transaction documents;
  • Review of title reports, surveys, and other third-party reports;
  • Conduct legal research related to real estate matters, including zoning regulations, property records, and relevant case law;
  • Draft correspondence and facilitate communication with clients, counterparties' counsel, and outside vendors under the guidance of supervising attorneys;
  • Assist in the preparation of signature pages, closing files for distribution, and closing binders;
  • Handle various administrative tasks necessary for deal management, such as file management, scanning, copying, and preparing FedEx packages; and
Requirements:
A minimum of three to five years of experience as a commercial real estate paralegal is preferred.
