About the Firm Caffaratti & Garcia, LLC is a Reno based law firm rooted in family law. We guide clients through divorce, custody, support, and the full range of family matters, and we help those same families plan for the future through thoughtful estate planning, including wills, trusts, and probate. Alongside that core work, our civil litigation practice represents clients in disputes across Nevada. Whatever brings someone to our door, they work with attorneys who know their matter, communicate clearly, and treat their situation with the care it deserves. Overview We are looking for a detail-oriented Legal Assistant / Junior Paralegal to support our attorneys and work hand in hand with our senior paralegal on the work that moves cases forward: preparing and finalizing documents, managing filings and discovery, and keeping matters organized and on schedule. This is a hands-on support role with real room to grow into greater paralegal responsibility over time. If you are organized, dependable, and want to build a career in law, we want to hear from you. Responsibilities Work hand in hand with the senior paralegal on case preparation, filings, and deadlines. Prepare and review legal documents such as pleadings, contracts, briefs, and correspondence with precision and attention to detail. Manage case files using document management systems; ensure accurate filing and organization of all legal documents. Support litigation processes through document drafting, proofreading, transcription, and maintaining case calendars. Facilitate client communication by scheduling appointments, answering inquiries professionally via phone or email, and ensuring confidentiality of sensitive information. Provide executive administrative support including calendar management, meeting coordination, and preparing reports to streamline office operations. Qualifications Excellent attention to detail and strong written and verbal communication. Prior law-firm, legal, or court experience, especially in family law or civil litigation. Highly organized, reliable, and able to juggle multiple deadlines calmly. A team player who takes initiative and asks good questions. Excellent research skills utilizing Westlaw and LexisNexis to gather pertinent legal information efficiently. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) along with legal writing skills for drafting documents and correspondence. Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail. Effective communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration; professional phone etiquette is essential. Ability to handle confidential information discreetly while demonstrating high levels of integrity. (nice to have but not required)

Pay:
$23.00
•$30.00 per hour Expected hours: 35.0
