What they do
A Paralegal or Legal Assistant assists attorneys and law offices with a variety of tasks ranging from administrative support to legal research and writing. Maintains and organizes files or file databases. Conducts legal or other background research, assists with preparation for trials or hearings, and drafts documents to be filed. Uses software for electronic discovery of materials such as email for a trial. May specialize in a particular area of the law such as corporate or criminal law, family law or real estate law.

Job Description
- Proofreading medical briefs, reports, and other documents
- Listen to audio files and edit doctor's dictations
- Read/organize medical records
- Maintain medical files and other pertinent legal documents as well as transcribing from various sources.
- Experience taking dictation and transcribing notes
- Perform related clerical work, including, but not limited to data entry, assist in the development of office procedures, answering phones and dispensing information for agency officials, track correspondence and requests for action and forward to the appropriate staff
- Coordinates meetings for high level officials.
