Job Type:
Full time Job description : We are seeking an experienced Paralegal to join our team. The ideal candidate has a background in matrimonial law and is comfortable handling a variety of responsibilities across family law, real estate, and estate planning. This is an in-office role, but employees can earn remote-work hours, similar to accruing PTO.
Key Responsibilities :
Prepare and file matrimonial and divorce pleadings, including complaints, affidavits, statements of net worth, settlement agreements, and all supporting court documents. Draft and serve subpoenas and manage document production. Prepare real estate transfer documents, including ACRIS filings, deeds, transfer tax forms, and related closing documents. Assist in drafting wills and ancillary estate planning documents. Coordinate with clients, courts, opposing counsel, and third parties. Manage case files and calendar deadlines in a high-volume practice. Provide administrative and legal support to attorneys as needed.
Preferred Qualifications :
Experience working in a matrimonial/family law department or firm. Strong proficiency with preparing divorce pleadings and court filings. Experience with ACRIS and New York real estate transfer documents. Familiarity with drafting wills and basic estate planning documents. Ability to handle a steady workflow in a busy, lively office environment. Excellent attention to detail, organization, and communication skills. Tech savvy and comfortable learning new software. #INDW3
