Legal Assistant

Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Legal Assistant/Paralegal to join our dedicated legal team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to support a broad spectrum of legal practices, including estate planning, guardianship and real estate. The ideal candidate will be a proactive professional with strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects efficiently. Must be comfortable with numbers and have proficiency in word and excel. As a vital part of our firm, you will assist the attorney with case management, document preparation, client communication, and procedural compliance, ensuring smooth operations across various legal disciplines. Duties Provide comprehensive legal support across diverse practice areas such as estate planning, guardianship and real estate. Conduct in-depth legal research utilizing Westlaw, LexisNexis, and other legal research tools to support case strategies and document drafting. Prepare and review legal documents including pleadings, discovery requests, contracts, wills, trusts, and other estate planning documents with precision and attention to detail. Manage case files to ensure files are organized and up-to-date. Handle confidential information with integrity while maintaining strict confidentiality standards. Coordinate project management tasks related to litigation or transactional matters to ensure deadlines are met efficiently. Provide administrative support including managing correspondence and maintaining organized filing systems. Facilitate communication between clients, attorneys, courts, and external agencies with professionalism and courtesy. Experience Paralegal experience is a plus but not necessary. College degree. Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel. Prior experience supporting attorneys with document review, legal writing, and client communication helpful but not essential. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining accuracy under tight deadlines. Excellent organizational skills combined with strong phone etiquette and professional demeanor. Pay:
$27.70 - $33.36 per hour
