A Paralegal or Legal Assistant assists attorneys and law offices with a variety of tasks ranging from administrative support to legal research and writing. Maintains and organizes files or file databases. Conducts legal or other background research, assists with preparation for trials or hearings, and drafts documents to be filed. Uses software for electronic discovery of materials such as email for a trial. May specialize in a particular area of the law such as corporate or criminal law, family law or real estate law.

Job Description
Tasks will include the following:
- Client intake and regular communication with clients.
- Draft correspondence, pleadings, net worth statements, matrimonial packets, discovery demands and responses, as well as custody, support and order of protection petitions in Family Court, with particular attention to grammar, spelling and punctuation.
- Assist with trial preparation, including organizing and uploading exhibits through the Virtual Evidence Room.
- Monitor, track and comply with all submission dates for motions, discovery demands and responses, divorce submission packets and QDRO's.
- Keep files organized; assist with telephone and monitoring of emails.
- Knowledge of MS Word, E-filing and utilization of NYSCEF system is required.

- Compensation is commensurate with experience.
