Legal Assistant - Law Office (Inwood, NY)
Salary:
$50,000-$75,000 | Full-Time | On-Site A well?established law firm in Cedarhurst, NY is seeking a professional and detail?oriented Legal Assistant to support attorneys across multiple practice areas. The ideal candidate has prior experience working in a law office in an administrative or legal support capacity. Experience with litigation is a plus, but not required. Role Overview The Legal Assistant will provide administrative and organizational support to attorneys, manage calendars and deadlines, assist with document preparation and filing, and help maintain smooth daily operations within the office. This is a full?time, in?office position, Monday through Friday. Key Responsibilities Maintain attorney calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate deadlines Organize, archive, and maintain documents for active and closed matters Assist with filing legal documents (electronic and physical) Support attorneys in the commercial litigation department as needed Monitor updates in legal procedures and ensure relevant information is communicated Manage incoming calls, emails, and general administrative tasks Prepare correspondence, forms, and basic legal documents Maintain accurate records and assist with case management tasks Required Qualifications A few years of experience working in a law office in an administrative or legal support role Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast?paced environment Strong written and verbal communication skills Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required
Compensation & Benefits Salary:
