Uses software for electronic discovery of materials such as email for a trial. May specialize in a particular area of the law such as corporate or criminal law, family law or real estate law.

Job Description

Paralegal Suffolk County creditor's rights and civil practice law firm seeking a paralegal to support the firm's litigation attorney staff. The ideal candidate will be interested in developing new and advanced litigation skills, and eager to collaborate with the firm's attorneys, clients, and staff. Responsibilities include the preparation, drafting, and filing of legal documents ranging from motion practice, discovery, pleadings and more. The position also entails assisting attorneys and management in strategic litigation planning, client and court contact and the firm's day-to-day operations. Requirements - Minimum 1-2 years of paralegal experience or paralegal certification completed or in progress. Notary Public commission, working knowledge of Microsoft Office, and familiarity with court systems and filings. Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as the ability to work on group assignments and as a team player. Ability to maintain confidential information and acceptable standards of office and professional conduct. Capability to work both independently and collaboratively as well as possessing a positive team-oriented mentality.
