A Paralegal or Legal Assistant assists attorneys and law offices with a variety of tasks ranging from administrative support to legal research and writing. Maintains and organizes files or file databases. Conducts legal or other background research, assists with preparation for trials or hearings, and drafts documents to be filed. Uses software for electronic discovery of materials such as email for a trial. May specialize in a particular area of the law such as corporate or criminal law, family law or real estate law.

Job Description
You Will:
Manage a full caseload of workers' compensation matters from intake through resolution Conduct initial client intakes and gather relevant documentation Communicate with clients on a regular basis— this is the core of the role Draft and send HIPAA authorizations and follow up with medical providers to obtain records Prepare correspondence, settlement documents, Section 32 agreements, and hearing requests File requests for hearings and monitor case status through the WCB eCase system Communicate with insurance adjusters, employers, treating physicians, and defense counsel Send IME notices and coordinate deposition scheduling Maintain the firm calendar, track deadlines, hearings, and appearances Maintain detailed, up-to-date case notes and file documentation in the firm's case management system Conduct client communications in bothEnglish and Spanish You Have:
2+ years of experience handling workers' compensation cases in New York Familiarity with WCB procedures, eCase, and New York workers' compensation filings Strong client communication skills — written and verbal — in both English and Spanish Proficiency with legal case management software Ability to manage a high-volume caseload with competing deadlines Strong organizational skills and attention to detail The quoted salary range represents our good faith estimate as to what our ideal candidates are likely to expect, and we tailor our offers within the range based on the selected candidate's experience, industry knowledge, location, technical and communication skills, and other factors that may prove relevant during the interview process.Benefits:
