Excellent opportunity for a motivated Paralegal with a strong work ethic, organizational skills, the drive to succeed and willingness to learn. Salary contingent upon applicable legal experience such as drafting pleadings, filing court documents/e-filing, and handling court and client correspondence regarding legal matters. Ideal candidate is seeking a culture that values loyalty and long-term relationships, and is interested in working with an established team of experienced legal assistants, paralegals, supervisors and attorneys. Responsibilities Work in a team environment preparing legal documents under attorney supervision Drafting and editing pleadings and correspondence for attorneys Communicating with courts, adversaries, and clients Update supervising attorney on a high volume of cases and manage the calendar for attorney appearances Draft basic legal correspondence and edit form pleadings to fit specific fact scenarios Ensure all client and internal systems are updated to include actions taken and all correspondence Follow various client requirements and adapt when updates to processes occur Handle confidential client information in a professional and trustworthy manner Work flexibly and manage changing priorities Work full-time, on-site during regular business hours Skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong customer service skills Strong organizational skills Attention to detail Must be able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment Must be able to work independently and as part of a team Ability to work with confidential information in a discreet and professional manner Ability to handle a large caseload Able to prioritize and work under a tight schedule Willingness to learn and the ability to interpret and follow instructions quickly and efficiently Professionalism, good judgment and the ability to perform in high pressure situations
Education/Experience:
An equivalent combination of the following: Bachelor's Degree required, legal or paralegal studies preferred 3 or more years of litigation experience required Proficiency in Microsoft Office products required Other Background check required as screening after an offer is accepted
