Schedule:
Mon-Fri In-Office Only Salary:
$55,000 - $80,000/yr, depending on experience, flexibility for the right candidate + benefits
Type:
Direct Hire Key Responsibilities Legal & Administrative Operations:
Deliver comprehensive, high-level administrative and legal support to ensure smooth departmental workflow.
Docketing & Schedule Management:
Oversee case calendars, track statutory deadlines, maintain case files, and schedule court appearances.
External Communications:
Serve as a primary point of contact for professional correspondence with clients, judicial personnel, and opposing counsel.
Filing & Court Coordination:
Manage electronic and physical document filings, including submission through court portals (NYSCEF), client distributions, and third-party deliveries.
Database & File Integrity:
Routinely update and maintain legal case management systems to ensure data accuracy and record completeness.
Core Competencies & Qualifications Technical Proficiency:
Fluent in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat; experience with NYSCEF (New York State Courts Electronic Filing) is strongly preferred.
Legal Knowledge:
Solid grasp of standard legal terminology, court procedures, and legal document preparation.
Communication:
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills suitable for formal legal environments.
Compensation / Pay
Rate (Up to): $55,000.00 - $80,000.00
