Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Administrative Legal Assistant to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will be energized by a fast-paced environment and possess a passion for legal research, document management, and providing exceptional administrative support. This paid position is designed to foster growth and development within the legal field while ensuring the smooth operation of our law office. Duties Provide comprehensive administrative support to attorneys and legal staff, including scheduling appointments, managing calendars, and coordinating meetings. Assist with legal research using LexisNexis, and other legal research tools to support case preparation and strategy. Draft, proofread, and review legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, correspondence, and reports with accuracy and attention to detail. Organize and maintain electronic and physical files using document management systems like NetDocs. Conduct thorough document review and data entry to ensure compliance with legal standards and firm policies. Support litigation processes through document review, case file organization, and preparation of discovery materials. Perform transcription of legal proceedings or client interviews while maintaining confidentiality and clarity. Facilitate communication via phone etiquette with clients, court personnel, vendors, and internal teams to ensure seamless information flow. Assist with specialized practice areas such as personal injury law. Requirements Proven experience in a legal administrative role or as a paralegal with strong familiarity in various practice areas including litigation or workers' compensation law. Proficiency in legal research platforms such as LexisNexis. Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Strong writing skills for drafting legal documents and correspondence that are clear and professional. Excellent proofreading abilities to ensure accuracy in all legal materials. Demonstrated experience in document review, data entry, filing systems (physical and electronic), and general clerical tasks within a law office setting. Effective communication skills coupled with professional phone etiquette for liaising with clients and court officials. Pay:
$20.00 - $26.00 per hour
