Job Description

Our client is looking for a Legal Assistant for their Nassau County office to assist attorneys focused on healthcare, corporate, business, and commercial transactions.
HYBRID REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must have 5+ years of law firm experience. A background in healthcare and transactional corporate matters Candidate must have knowledge in assisting with indexing and summarizing documents, the creation of contracts, stock option plans and financial statements as well as reviewing and completing all related documents. Candidates must be able to type 55+ wpm and have excellent spelling, grammar and organizational skills, as well as the ability to multi-task and work both independently and as a team member. Candidate will also provide attorneys with administrative support.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist attorneys with client communication, creating, formatting and revising legal documents, straight typing, proofread work for accuracy prior to returning to attorneys, and answering phones. Enter attorney time using iTimekeep. Submit expense and reimbursement reports using Chrome River. Manage and prioritize incoming email and correspondence. Scan and e-mail documents. Exhibit professional maturity at all times. Demonstrate an attitude of cooperation with legal staff, peers and administrators.
