Maintains and organizes files or file databases. Conducts legal or other background research, assists with preparation for trials or hearings, and drafts documents to be filed. Uses software for electronic discovery of materials such as email for a trial. May specialize in a particular area of the law such as corporate or criminal law, family law or real estate law.

Job Description

Front End Paralegal - Personal Injury We are currently seeking candidates with personal injury case management experience in a legal setting for a Front End Paralegal position at a large West Akron area personal injury law firm. In this position you will handle case management and provide passionate customer service to personal injury clients from intake throughout treatment.
Hours:
Monday - Friday 8:30am-5:00pm
Pay:
$25.00 - $30.00/hour based on experience
Key Responsibilities:
Provide an exceptional customer service experience to clients involved in injury-related cases Perform intake, gather accident facts, parties/insurance info, injury summary, treatment status Track clients through their treatment phase. Maintain phone contact with medical providers, insurance companies, and clients. Request and follow up on medical records/bills, itemized statements, imaging, liens Send letters of representation, track adjusters/claim numbers, confirm policy info when available Show compassion and relate to different clients with various needs Maintain the case management system, deadlines, task lists, and document organization
Minimum Requirements:
Experience with Personal Injury cases in a legal setting is required Case Management experience strongly preferred Experience with medical terminology and/or billing/medical records required Ability to interpret medical records, and understand medical codes required Insurance claim familiarity is necessary Experience as a paralegal a plus but not required Strong understanding of time-sensitive items and issues Strong phone skills Strong tracking/organization experience a must
