Job description: Established and growing law firm seeking an experienced Probate & Probate Litigation Legal Assistant to join our expanding practice. We are looking for a highly organized, detail-oriented legal professional who thrives in a collaborative environment and is comfortable handling both probate administration and probate litigation matters. This is an excellent opportunity to join a stable firm with a growing client base, supportive attorneys, and long-term career potential. The ideal candidate will have experience with probate administration, estate matters, court filings, litigation support, and client communication. Candidates with strong litigation or estate administration experience and a willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities:
Assist attorneys with probate administration and probate litigation matters
Prepare probate pleadings, petitions, inventories, accountings, and related court filings
Draft correspondence and maintain organized legal files
Manage case deadlines, court calendars, and scheduling
Coordinate communication with clients, beneficiaries, courts, financial institutions, and opposing counsel
Assist with discovery, document review, hearing preparation, and trial support
Maintain accurate file management and case tracking systems
Qualifications:
Prior probate paralegal, probate litigation, estate administration, estate planning, or litigation paralegal experience preferred
Strong organizational, multitasking, and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced legal environment
Professional demeanor and strong attention to detail
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal case management software
Dependable, team-oriented, and client-focused
