The Senior Paralegal performs a variety of specialized, articulate, and administrative support duties for multiple Attorney's and manages the clerical operations of complex prelitigation personal injury cases.
Position Responsibilities:
Case Management Investigation of all insurance coverages available to the client Obtaining, reviewing, and organizing medical records to complete a treatment outline Preparing, calculating, and maintaining damage summaries including medical expenses, lost wages, and property damage Logging daily mail and drafting any correspondence necessary in the day-to-day case management Preparation of file for litigation transfer when necessary Submissions Preparing and forwarding medical specials to insurance carriers with demand summary Meeting and exceeding goals set Communication corresponding with clients, Attorney and insurance adjusters regarding case status Consistent client contacts Weekly reports Monthly team meetings Maintain professional interactions, internally and externally
Requirements:
Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills Strong attention to detail and the ability to multi-task while maintaining organization Ability to exercise patience and professionalism in dealing with difficult clients and providers. Strong working knowledge of MS Office, and the ability to operate standard office equipment Must work well in a team atmosphere Must maintain excellent attendance and punctuality High command of English grammar, usage, punctuation, and spelling as well as use of computers and related applications.
Education:
High School Diploma/ GED required Three to five years' relevant work experience preferred Prefer Bachelor's degree and/or paralegal certificate
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds at times. This job operates in a professional office environment. Exposure to computer screens and low level of noise.
