Job Description

Gembala, McLaughlin & Pecora Co., LPA is an enterprising team of attorneys who practice in almost all disciplines of the law. We represent a broad spectrum of clients including individuals, estates, businesses, nonprofit organizations, governmental bodies, utilities, public schools, financial institutions, and multinational businesses. We use cutting edge technology, so although we primarily work in the office, our team members have flexibility to work remotely when needs arise. Requirements We are looking for experienced, highly motivated litigation paralegal who seeks more than just another job.
Daily responsibilities include:
Legal and factual research Drafting legal documents including briefs, pleadings, appeals, agreements, contracts and legal memoranda(s) Assisting lawyers in the preparation of pleadings and motions Preparing and answering written discovery Preparing correspondence Organizing and tracking case files Reviewing and monitoring new and updated laws and regulations Helping with trial preparation including witness lists, exhibits and trial binders Assisting lawyers in the courtroom Accurately and timely submit billing for work performed Knowledge of legal terminology, court rules and the judicial system Outstanding time-management and organization skills Strong attention to detail and a commitment to authoring accurate work Critical thinking Stress tolerance Desire to work collaboratively as a team Ability to multitask and work with a diverse client base 3-5 years of Experience
