Paralegal Studies Instructor Substitute Community HigherEd Tulsa, OK Job Details 2 hours ago Qualifications Employee relationship building Associate's degree Stakeholder relationship building Full Job Description Teaching Responsibilities Teach material in accordance with assigned schedule to ensure student satisfaction Collaborate with other faculty to integrate information throughout teaching and learning process Present enthusiastic, well prepared, organized lectures and interactive classroom activities consistent with course syllabus Be familiar with college accrediting bodies and compliance as it pertains to the program Implement and model the college mission, and CARES philosophy, incorporating professional and ethical standards Keep faculty and school administration informed with the progress of the program Create and maintain an inviting classroom environment Assists students in achieving completion of objectives Provides regular, accurate and timely feedback to students relative to their performance Exercises normal classroom supervision to effect a positive learning environment Advises students on matters related to academics, behavior, attendance and grades Assists in student concern resolution, provide counsel/tutoring as needed Motivate students to actively participate in all aspects of the educational process, including but not limited to, classdiscussions, demonstrations, outside assignments, research, enrichment activities Maintains and reports student grades and attendance in accordance with company policies and procedures Maintains expertise in subject area in order to provide students with current trends and to recommend improvements in curriculum design Paralegal Studies Instructor Substitute Associate degree required; bachelor's degree preferred. A minimum of three years of professional paralegal experience is also required. Teaching experience in post-secondary education at an accredited institution is preferred. Experience in presenting material to all levels of students. Possess strong interpersonal skills, ability to build cooperative relationships by being perceptive of others' reactions, selling or influencing others, convincing others to change their minds or actions and ability to utilize different methods and mediums to deliver course material. Critical thinking, problem solving, and judgment skills. Strong work ethic, timely and accurately organize, prioritize and complete all job responsibilities. Proven record of multi-tasking and ability to handle a high pressure environment with timeline pressures. This is a temporary, non-exempt, hybrid that may require on-campus presence as needed to meet instructional and operational requirements.
