You will work closely with attorneys defending businesses, commercial vehicle owners and drivers, and their insurers against bodily injury claims in New York courts, managing files from inception through resolution. This is a full-time, in-office position. Responsibilities Manage a caseload of commercial auto bodily injury defense files Draft motions and supporting papers for attorney review, including discovery motions, summary judgment motions, and serious injury threshold motions Draft and respond to discovery demands, including demands for bills of particulars, combined demands, and notices to admit Gather and organize client documents, including driver personnel files, vehicle maintenance and inspection records, telematics data, and dashcam footage Obtain police accident reports, no-fault files, and prior claim records Obtain, organize, and summarize medical records, and process HIPAA authorizations Prepare deposition summaries and medical chronologies Schedule depositions, independent medical examinations, and court conferences File documents through NYSCEF and track court deadlines and compliance with conference orders Assist with trial preparation and exhibit binders Communicate with clients, insurance carriers, opposing counsel, court personnel, and vendors Maintain accurate files and calendars in the firm's case management system Required Qualifications Bodily injury defense paralegal experience (required) Motion writing experience, with strong legal drafting skills (required) Strong working knowledge of the litigation process from pleadings through trial Experience reviewing and summarizing medical records Excellent organization and time management skills Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a high-volume practice Proficiency with Microsoft Office and case management software Ability to work on-site in Bethlehem, PA, full time Preferred Qualifications Experience with New York practice, including the
CPLR, NYSCEF
e-filing, and New York court rules and procedures Commercial auto defense experience Familiarity with New York's no-fault system and the serious injury threshold under Insurance Law § 5102(d) Familiarity with insurance carrier reporting and billing guidelines Paralegal certificate or associate's/bachelor's degree
