A Paralegal or Legal Assistant assists attorneys and law offices with a variety of tasks ranging from administrative support to legal research and writing. Maintains and organizes files or file databases. Conducts legal or other background research, assists with preparation for trials or hearings, and drafts documents to be filed. Uses software for electronic discovery of materials such as email for a trial. May specialize in a particular area of the law such as corporate or criminal law, family law or real estate law.

Job Description
Responsibilities Include:
Provide day-to-day litigation and administrative support to assigned attorneys Prepare, revise, format, and proofread correspondence, pleadings, and other legal documents Handle electronic filing with state and federal courts Manage attorney calendars, including scheduling depositions, meetings, court appearances, and other case-related events Request, obtain, and track medical records from healthcare providers and record retrieval services Review, organize, and summarize medical records Assist with written discovery, document production, and subpoena coordination Coordinate retention of experts and manage expert-related documentation Assist with preparation for depositions, mediations, and trials Maintain organized electronic and physical case files Monitor case deadlines and assist attorneys with keeping matters on schedule Communicate professionally with clients, counsel, experts, court personnel, and other outside parties Perform other litigation support duties as neededQualifications:
Minimum of two (2) years of litigation experience in a legal assistant, paralegal, or similar litigation support role Personal injury, medical malpractice, or insurance defense experience strongly preferred Experience with court filings, legal document preparation, scheduling, and case management Experience with medical record requests and retrieval preferred Experience with medical record review, discovery, expert coordination, and/or trial preparation preferred Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail Ability to prioritize competing deadlines and manage a high-volume caseload Strong written and verbal communication skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat Paralegal certificate is a plus but not required for candidates with comparable litigation experience Competitive salary and benefits package offered.
