Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Legal Assistant/Paralegal to join our growing family law legal team. Your proactive approach and organizational skills will ensure smooth legal operations, efficient case management, and effective client communication. This is a full time (on site) position. Duties Track deadlines, court dates, and statute of limitations Manage and organize legal documents using document management systems ensuring accuracy and confidentiality. Communicate with clients, courts, and opposing counsel Draft and prepare legal documents, including pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, subpoenas and correspondence Keeping digital and physical files meticulously organized for quick access. File documents with courts (e-filing and physical filing) Prepare trial binders, exhibits, and hearing materials Serve as a primary point of contact for clients Gather case information and documentation Provide updates and ensure client needs are addressed professionally Maintain calendaring systems and ensure deadlines are met Performs other related duties as assigned. Qualifications Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred Paralegal certificate (preferred) 3-5+ years of relevant experience, ideally in family law or a related practice area Strong organizational and case management skills Excellent legal writing and communication abilities Proficiency with Document Management Software, Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat Attention to detail and accuracy Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks Proficient with legal case management software Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) along with document review and word processing expertise. Ability to handle confidential information discreetly while maintaining high standards of accuracy in document drafting and filing.
