Assist attorneys with estate planning documents such as wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and advance directives. Conduct legal research across multiple practice areas including estate law, environmental law, tribal law, and securities law. Manage case files using document management systems to ensure accuracy and confidentiality. Prepare and review legal documents, correspondence, and pleadings with precision and attention to detail. Coordinate client interviews and gather necessary information for estate administration cases. Support probate proceedings by filing documents with courts and tracking case progress. Conduct thorough document review for compliance with procedural laws and legal standards. Maintain organized case management workflows to meet deadlines efficiently. Handle confidential information discreetly while providing executive administrative support as needed. Collaborate with team members on litigation support tasks including civil litigation and general & commercial litigation cases. Utilize legal research tools to gather relevant case law and statutory information. Assist with project management tasks related to estate administration projects or complex legal matters. Ensure proper filing, document review, proofreading, and data entry to uphold quality standards.
Experience:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required; paralegal certificate highly preferred Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Windows programs Experience in estate administration, probate administration, death tax returns, and federal and state fiduciary income preparation Experience using Lackner Estate and Trust Administration highly preferred Well-versed in using document management systems, electronic and physical file maintenance, and legal research programs required Working knowledge of trusts, wills, estate-related tax and real estate issues a plus Excellent communication and organization skills, highly detail oriented, strong teamwork mindset, and confidentiality required
