Legal Receptionist/Assistant

Job Description

Busy, local law firm in Montgomery/Bucks area is seeking a Receptionist 25-40 hours per week, to assist in a fast-paced Family Law firm. Candidate must have strong written and verbal communication skills and be extremely organized, efficient and detail-oriented. Position is responsible for managing office calendars for attorneys and cases; data intake/entry; phone communications, filing and organizing client documents and creating basic documents as needed. Salary is negotiable depending on experience.   • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with clients and firm staff. Must be friendly and engaging with clients on the phone and in person;
  • Extremely organized and able to follow directions and manage workflow easily;
  • Responsive to client and attorney requests;
  • Able to manage your own workflow, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, small business environment;
  • Proficient in MS Word and Adobe and comfortable learning new programs. Knowledge of MyCase and/or family law software is a plus.
  • Experience as a receptionist or office assistant is preferred.
Job duties:
Provide general office duties as needed, including, but not limited to: copying, scanning, filing, and drafting correspondence; Communicating with clients, courts and opposing counsel; Provide administrative support in growing small firm setting; Organize case filing systems to ensure all documents are properly sorted and easy to locate, and other administrative duties as needed; Act as a witness for estate planning signing appointments; Manage attorney and case calendars and other time-sensitive actions; Greet clients, prepare intake sheets for appointments; Answer and direct telephone calls and schedule appointments; Organize, scan, and deliver all mail to the appropriate individuals; and Manage attorney and case calendars and other time-sensitive actions.
