| Bankruptcy Legal Assistant | Pittsburgh, PA 🚨 We are actively seeking a Bankruptcy Legal Assistant with solid experience to support a busy creditor's rights practice in our Pittsburgh office. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced legal environment and knows how to keep cases moving efficiently. Key Responsibilities Support attorneys in all aspects of creditor's rights and bankruptcy matters Manage case files, maintain calendars, and track critical deadlines Draft, revise, and organize legal documents including pleadings, motions, summary judgments, and discovery Conduct legal research on applicable laws, regulations, and case law Prepare trial materials , including binders, exhibit lists, and witness lists Utilize PACER to review dockets, access party information, and download filings Handle state and county filings , including navigating prothonotary websites Communicate with courts, clients, and internal teams as needed Assist with administrative and operational tasks, including coordination with accounting and firm software systems Required Qualifications 3+ years of SOLID experience as a Legal Assistant or in a similar role Hands-on experience with PACER (docket searches, filings, document retrieval) Strong familiarity with state court filings and county/prothonotary systems Experience in debt collection, foreclosure, and/or tax collection strongly preferred Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines Strong attention to detail and communication skills Ability to work both independently and collaboratively Salary commensurate with candidate experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
