Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Legal Assistant/Paralegal to join our legal team. In this role, you will provide essential support to our attorneys working solely on behalf of injured clients. Your proactive approach and strong organizational skills will ensure the smooth operation of our legal processes, enabling us to deliver exceptional service to our clients. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your legal support experience while working in a collaborative and fast-paced environment. Duties Manage case files and document review processes utilizing document management systems for efficient organization and retrieval. Support attorneys with client communication, scheduling interviews, preparing for hearings, and maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information. Potentially conduct legal research across various jurisdictions to ensure compliance with court rules and regulations in civil litigation and other legal matters. Assist in preparing for trials or hearings by organizing exhibits, drafting summaries, and coordinating logistics with clients and witnesses. Handle administrative tasks such as filing documents with courts, managing deadlines, maintaining case calendars, and providing executive administrative support when needed. Requirements Proven paralegal experience with a strong background in personal injury law is preferred. Proficiency in legal research platforms such as Westlaw and LexisNexis. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining accuracy. Strong writing skills for drafting legal documents and correspondence; keen proofreading abilities to ensure error-free work. Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) for document creation and data management; familiarity with Word processing tools is essential. Knowledge of procedural law across various jurisdictions; ability to handle confidential information responsibly. Effective client communication skills combined with professional phone etiquette; Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment; project management skills are a plus. Pay:
$28.79 - $34.68 per hour
