Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Paralegal to support banking and collections matters for a respected mid-sized law firm in Wyomissing, Pennsylvania. This position is well suited for someone who thrives in a fast-paced legal environment and can manage a substantial caseload with precision and professionalism. The role involves close collaboration with attorneys and clients while helping move files efficiently from initial review through final resolution.
Responsibilities:
  • Oversee a large volume of consumer and commercial collections matters from intake through closure, including follow-up on post-judgment recovery efforts.
  • Prepare, review, and submit a variety of legal filings such as pleadings, motions, garnishments, execution documents, and settlement-related paperwork.
  • Work closely with attorneys, clients, creditors, and opposing parties to support timely progress and practical resolution of active matters.
  • Examine lending and banking records, including loan documents, notes, and security agreements, to assist with legal strategy and case development.
  • Assemble and file bankruptcy-related materials, including motions, claims documentation, and other court submissions.
  • Coordinate filing activity in Pennsylvania courts, including electronic submissions, while ensuring documents are completed accurately and on time.
  • Track key case milestones such as filing deadlines, limitation periods, response obligations, and judgment renewal dates across an active docket.
  • Communicate with debtors in accordance with applicable collection laws and regulatory requirements in Pennsylvania.
  • Assist with secured transactions work, including lien searches, financing statement preparation, and related documentation.
  • Support foreclosure and mortgage default matters by drafting notices, affidavits, payoff statements, discovery materials, and hearing or trial preparation documents.
  • At least 3 years of paralegal experience in banking, collections, creditor representation, or related litigation work.
  • Hands-on experience with Pennsylvania court filing procedures, including electronic filing systems.
  • Proficiency with case management platforms such as Clio, ProLaw, or similar software, along with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage assignments from multiple attorneys effectively.
  • Ability to work successfully under pressing deadlines while adjusting to changing priorities.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, along with a detail-oriented approach to client and team interactions.
  • Sound judgment, discretion, and the ability to handle confidential information responsibly.
  • Experience supporting discovery, bankruptcy matters, and case administration processes is preferred.
