The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and comfortable managing multiple active cases in a fast-paced litigation environment. Key Responsibilities Draft, proofread, and format pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, and other litigation documents Manage case files, deadlines, and calendaring using the firm's case management system (Clio) Conduct legal research and summarize relevant statutes, regulations, and case law Prepare and organize exhibits, trial binders, and deposition materials Coordinate and schedule depositions, mediations, hearings, and client meetings Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, courts, and expert witnesses in a professional manner Assist with propounding and responding to written discovery (interrogatories, requests for production, requests for admission) Review and organize document productions; assist with privilege logs Track case status, deadlines, and statutes of limitations Support attorneys during trial preparation, including witness and exhibit lists Maintain compliance with court filing procedures (e-filing, local rules, etc.) Qualifications Paralegal certificate or equivalent experience; Bachelor's degree preferred Minimum 3+ years of paralegal experience in employment litigation (plaintiff- or defense-side) Strong knowledge of California employment law and civil litigation procedure Proficiency with case management and e-discovery platforms (Clio experience a plus) Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational skills and ability to manage competing deadlines Notary Public certification a plus Preferred Skills Experience with PAGA claims, class/collective actions, and administrative agency proceedings (DFEH/CRD, EEOC, DLSE) Familiarity with e-filing systems for California state and federal courts Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal research platforms (Westlaw/Lexis)
