Job Description
Paralegal (Hybrid) Job Summary The Probate Paralegal primarly supports attorneys in all aspects of probate matters. This role requires strong organizational skills and excellent client communication abilities. The paralegal works closely with attorneys, clients and external advisors to ensure matters are handled efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with applicable laws. Essential Functions and Responsibilities Assist with probate administration, including gathering and organizing client information, asset inventories, and financial documentation Draft, review, and prepare accountings and correspondence, and required legal documents Prepare and file court documents related to probate administration Serve as a liaison between the firm, clients, beneficiaries and other professionals Provide timely case status updates, gather information from clients, and assist with client meetings Maintain organized electronic and physical case files, and track deadlines Monitor case progress and follow up to ensure timely completion of tasks and filings Experience Minimum of 3+ years of experience working in an estate planning firm. Probate experience, including court filings and case management Strong drafting, legal research, and file management skills Experience with legal and case management software systems Excellent organizational, communication, and multitasking abilities Preferred Qualifications Experience with Maryland probate procedures Notary Public certification or willingness to obtain Benefits Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance 401(k) Retirement Plan (employer match) Health Savings Account (HSA) Paid Time Off (PTO)
