Role:
The EOIR Clerk supports our attorneys and legal staff on matters before the Executive Office for Immigration Review. You will be responsible for preparing, assembling, and filing court submissions, tracking hearing calendars and filing deadlines, and maintaining accurate case records. This role requires someone who works accurately under deadline pressure and communicates clearly with both attorneys and clients.

Our immigration law firm is seeking a highly motivated, organized, and bilingual (Spanish) Legal Assistant to support our attorneys with a diverse caseload. The ideal candidate will have prior supervisory experience, be fluent in Spanish, and be ready to take initiative in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
Minimum Qualifications:
Must be fluent in Spanish (written and verbal)
  • Required Must reside in Los Angeles County
  • Required Minimum 2 years of experience in immigration legal services
  • Required (3 years preferred) Prior supervisory experience
  • Preferred Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
  • Required Detail-oriented and highly organized Ability to understand and explain immigration legal concepts Strong communication skills and client-facing experience Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a high-volume environment
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor EOIR case status and communicate updates to the assigned attorney and legal team Prepare and review diverse immigration applications, including family-based petitions, consular process cases, and waivers Work closely with attorneys to identify strategic solutions Meet with clients to prepare case filings Draft and submit legal briefs, motions, and appeals Support and assist attorneys throughout the case lifecycle Provide quality control review on legal work and documentation Attend continuing legal education (CLE) as required Liaise with government agencies, outside counsel, and courts as needed Successfully pass a post-offer background check.

8-hour shift Monday to Friday In-person only
