Job Description

In-House Paralegal (Contract - Remote, PST hours required)
Location:
Los Angeles, fully remote, PST hours required
Duration:
3-month contract assignment
Compensation:
$26-28/hour (depending on experience) Overview A well-established company in the multi-family housing services and property operations space is seeking an In-House Paralegal for a 3-month contract . This organization partners with residential property owners and managers to deliver essential on-site services that support day-to-day operations and enhance tenant experience. Reporting to the General Counsel, this role will provide broad legal support across contracts, compliance, insurance claims, and litigation. This is an ideal opportunity for a detail-oriented, proactive professional who can quickly step in and add value in a fast-paced environment. This opportunity can be fully remote, PST hours required. Key Responsibilities Contract Management Draft, review, and track commercial agreements (e.g., NDAs, vendor contracts, SOWs, amendments) Maintain contract lifecycle systems, including key terms, obligations, and renewal timelines Coordinate signature processes and distribute fully executed agreements Corporate Governance Maintain corporate records, entity documentation, and organizational materials Assist with board meeting preparation and drafting of minutes Support annual filings, registered agent coordination, and multi-state compliance Insurance Claims Management Manage intake, tracking, and administration of insurance claims across multiple coverage types Act as liaison between internal stakeholders, insurance carriers, and brokers Compile documentation for claims and maintain accurate tracking logs Monitor claim progress, deadlines, and status updates Support policy renewals with claims history and related data Track claim payments and ensure alignment with coverage terms Litigation & Regulatory Support Assist with litigation holds, document collection, and e-discovery processes Maintain case files and track key deadlines Coordinate with outside counsel on filings, document production, and scheduling Legal Operations Serve as a point of contact for internal legal requests Manage legal invoices and assist with budget tracking Develop templates, playbooks, and process documentation Conduct preliminary legal research as needed Required Qualifications Paralegal certificate (ABA-approved) or equivalent experience 3+ years of paralegal experience, including at least 1 year in-house Experience with contract management systems and legal technology tools Strong organizational and time management skills with ability to multitask Excellent written and verbal communication skills Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree Notary Public certification Experience with entity management or corporate compliance software
