Maintains and organizes files or file databases. Conducts legal or other background research, assists with preparation for trials or hearings, and drafts documents to be filed. Uses software for electronic discovery of materials such as email for a trial. May specialize in a particular area of the law such as corporate or criminal law, family law or real estate law.

Job Title:
Legal Assistant (Workers' Compensation Defense)
Location:

Key Responsibilities Transcribe legal dictation and prepare reports Proofread, edit, and draft legal documents and correspondence Maintain case files and attorney records Prepare pre-trial statements, settlement documents, and trial exhibits Track billable time and complete billing entries Handle phone calls and operate office equipment Perform other assigned administrative/legal support duties
Required Qualifications Mandatory:
Experience as a Legal Assistant/Legal Secretary in a workers' compensation defense firm Strong typing, proofreading, and written communication skills Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills Ability to maintain confidentiality and work independently with minimal supervision
Pay:
$26.00 - $35.00 per hour
